Minecraft: Mayhem
A Minecraft social deduction game of teamwork, deceit, and sabotage. Complete your tasks before time runs out, or uncover the saboteur among you. Game Description / How To Play: At the start of the game, each player is secretly assigned a role - either Innocent or Saboteur. The innocents must complete a set of assigned tasks within 1 hour to win. The Saboteur(s) aim to delay, mislead, or obstruct them until time runs out - without getting caught! Any player can contribute to any task. If a Saboteur completes a task, it still counts toward progress. The Task Chest A Task Chest is located at spawn for item submission. This chest is for task completion only. Players may not remove or deposit unrelated items. Once an item is deposited, it's protected - no one may interfere with it. Meetings & Voting Meetings occur at the 30-minute and 1-hour marks. All players must return to the meeting table. The game ends after the second round of voting. If all Saboteurs are banished but tasks remain incomplete, the result is a tie. Meeting Rules If you're not at the table before the central lamp turns on, you lose your vote and must remain silent until the meeting concludes. Each meeting allows up to five minutes of discussion. Each player may nominate one person per meeting. Nominated players receive one minute to defend themselves (no intteruptions allowed). Voting Procedure After each defense, voting proceeds clockwise from the accused. Each player must state their name, a short reason for their vote, and whether they vote to banish or abstain. To banish, flick your lever ON (lamp lit). To abstain, leave your lever OFF (lamp unlit). Once you declare your vote, it is locked in. Do not change your lever afterward. A player is banished if a majority vote to banish. In the event of a tie, no one is banished. Recommended for 6-10 players, with 1 Saboteur for every ~5 players. Task Structure 1 Hard Task (long-term, group effort) 2 Medium Tasks (moderate coordination) 5 Easy Tasks (simple goals) Hard Tasks Build a beacon at spawn. A single player must earn both 'Hold the Dragon Egg' and 'The End... Again...' Advancements. (Both must be achieved by the same player for this task to count as completed.) Medium Tasks Acquire a Wither Skeleton Head. Acquire a bottle of Dragon's Breath. Acquire a full set of diamond armor (head, chest, legs, boots), with each piece enchanted with at least protection 2. Create a 3x3 map wall at spawn Easy Tasks Acquire 10 stacks of Baked Potatoes. Acquire three stacks of wool, each stack a different color. Acquire three saplings of at least five different tree types. Acquire a stack of paper rockets. Use a splash a potion on 5 players at once - using a single potion. Rules: 1. Respect the discussion. Don't talk over others; wait for your turn to speak. 2. Keep it brief. Avoid long monologues so everyone can contribute. (Exception: during your defense) 3. Play your role. Innocents must act in good faith to complete the tasks. Saboteurs should interfere covertly - avoid blatant griefing that ruins gameplay. 4. No post-submission sabotage. Once progress is officially submitted at spawn, it's protected. You may intercept or delay players before they submit items. You may not destroy or remove completed objectives. 5. Silence when banished. If you are voted out (forced into spectator mode), you may not speak or communicate in any way about the game. 6. Follow the host. The host's decision is final in unclear cases or rule disputes. 7. No metagaming. Don't reveal roles or share information through out-of-character, or out-of-game hints, streams, or private messages.
